About My Art
All my life I have been intrigued by the beauty around me - the layered shapes of clouds, the gleam of light on water, the velvety texture of a flower. Art has always been my means to connect with and express this beauty.
I began my career as a watercolor artist. The translucent, luminous qualities of the watercolors captivated me. I added new mediums after moving from New Hampshire to Florida in 2019. I was drawn to the textures of the landscapes, flora and fauna that make up the Sunshine State and wanted to be able to add those textures into my art. Acrylic paints presented the opportunity to change the consistency and add
vibrancy, encompassing the Florida aesthetic. Combining mediums, such as adding oil paint to my art, coalesced into incredible compositions. I hope they bring you joy as they do for me.
About Me
I have extensive training in a variety of art forms. I attended Cass School of Design in Massachusetts, spent many years with Kimball Jenkins Art School in New Hampshire, and was mentored by Sylvia Brofos. I owned and operated an antique store where I reveled in refinishing furniture, painting designs on various items, and designing jewelry. I am a GIA Certified Jeweler with deep knowledge in gem identification, grading, and industry standards.
I have had the honor of receiving multiple art awards over the years. In New Hampshire I was an established commission artist. My largest accomplishment was a 9’x16’ painting for the Chichester Historical Society. It hangs in their town hall to this day. I have been part of multiple group shows as well as in solitary shows as the Featured Artist.
I am the proud mother of two amazing daughters, and Nana of four precious young adults. I am eternally grateful that art, in all its expressions, has heightened my appreciation for the beauty all around me and that I have the opportunity to share it with you.
